Van rental: red 2020 Ford Escape SE in Java

Van rental and the 2020 Ford Escape SE

Here is the 2020 Ford Escape SE from the angle of someone searching for van rental. Seven seats or more take a whole group in one vehicle.

A note on Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Nearby places include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

The figures, translated

The engine is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

A combined rating of 7.8 L/100 km works out to about 23 litres per 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $36.27 at our price setting.

What to expect from the Escape

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

A good match for

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Renting it

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Requesting a car

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. Next comes our offer, with the confirmed car and every charge on one page. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Rules for renters

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
