Java and the Forester

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Under the hood

It uses the 2.5L 4-cylinder and all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.2 L/100 km rating. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $12.71, and a 300 km weekend about $38.13.

When the Forester makes sense

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

How big it is

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

In our fleet

Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Rules for renters

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

What to expect when you book

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. We check the calendar and your details, then send you an offer with the total. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. A single booking can run up to 365 days. For longer, it renews month after month. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
