Safety certificate: how we help

Your 2020 Subaru Forester Base needs a safety certificate? We arrange a trusted shop; CarmaCars does not do the work. A used car you buy in Ontario needs a Safety Standards Certificate before it can be plated.

About your Forester

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The 2.5L 4-cylinder, paired with an automatic (CVT), drives it.

How we help

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in. Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there.

Before the shop starts

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Between shop visits

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

The Forester and Java

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to.
