The 2020 Subaru Forester Base: Safety certificate

CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a safety certificate on the 2020 Subaru Forester Base, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. Only a licensed inspection station can issue a Safety Standards Certificate in Ontario.

Your car, your notes

Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Forester. Note the mileage on the odometer when you send the request. The 2.5L 4-cylinder does the work, through an automatic (CVT).

How the request works

We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. Send a request with the car and what it needs; a person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. We follow up until the shop has the car booked in.

What to ask

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Car care, briefly

Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

Java and the Forester
