Reading the spec sheet

Under the hood: the 2.5L 4-cylinder and all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Plan on about 25 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 8.2 L/100 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $127.10 at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

What to expect from the Forester

An SUV body means more headroom and a taller cargo opening than a car of the same length.

Renting it

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates.

What to have ready

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Choose before pickup how damage to the car is handled: your policy with OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Getting the car booked

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. You pay only once you approve the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.
