The figures, translated

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

At 8.3 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 25 litres of fuel. Expect about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits stop-and-go driving and rideshare or delivery work.

Inside and out

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. With 340 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Before you rent

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

What happens when you ask for a car

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Next step

When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
