Arranging the work for the NE
CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For a wheel alignment on the 1986 GMC NE, we connect you with a trusted shop. An alignment keeps the car driving straight and the tires wearing evenly.
Your NE and the shop
Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the NE.
What we arrange
You approve the shop's quote before any work. You agree everything with the shop before work begins. Your request goes to a person, who arranges a trusted shop or gives you its name.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. We bring the rental to you and collect it afterwards. Your offer shows any delivery fee before you pay.
Talking to the shop
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.
Car care, briefly
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
Over to you
Tell us what is wrong with the car, and we arrange the rest with a trusted shop.
Request wheel alignment
Tell us when suits you. A person replies within one business day and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one; the shop sets its own price and time.
