Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.
A short checklist
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it.
