The work on your Edge

CarmaCars takes requests for windshield repair on the 2024 Ford Edge SEL, and rents you a car while yours is in. A small chip in the windshield can often be repaired before it spreads into a crack.

The car itself

If something on the car is already damaged, show us in the photos. Photos of the car help us quote it accurately. If the car has open recalls, a dealer fixes them; ask about them while the car is off the road.

The request

Tell us whether you can drop the car off or need it collected. If the job turns out larger, we ask you before doing more. You can add a rental to the same request.

A rental meanwhile

Rent by the day while your car is in, delivered to you. Pick the rental from our fleet; delivery is priced in the offer. Pick it up from us for free, or have it brought to you.

How the price is set

If we find something unexpected, we ask before we change the price. Two cars of the same model can need different work, so we quote each one. Simple jobs cost less; we tell you if a smaller job would do.

Planning around the work

We keep you posted if the timing changes. Most small jobs fit within a day; larger ones are booked over several days.

Looking after it afterwards

A quick wipe of bird droppings and sap stops them from marking the paint. Ask us how to care for the work when you collect the car.

A few things first

If you need a rental, add it to the request so it is ready when you arrive. Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Arrive at the time we confirm, so the work can start on schedule.
