Car Diagnostics in Coldstream, BC

Arranging the work in Coldstream

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Coldstream is about 3,071 km away. In short: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

The steps

We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Before the shop starts

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.

Car care, briefly

Replace wiper blades when they streak; it matters in rain and snow. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.
