Emissions Test in Progress, NY

Emissions Test in Progress

If you need an emissions test in Progress: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

What we arrange

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop.

Between shop visits

Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.

Where we deliver

We do not have a location in Progress; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 409 km, Progress is outside that.

For work in Progress, ask in a request and we tell you honestly whether we know a shop there. We know shops around Toronto best; for Progress, we say plainly what we can do. For anything about Progress, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
