Tire Change in Five Points, SD

Getting it done

For tire work in Five Points, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. In short: Seasonal tires swapped and balanced, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Tread depth matters for grip in rain and snow; the shop measures it.

From request to repair

Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work.

Good habits for your car

Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

What to ask

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
