Auto Loans for Ames

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Before you sign

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

Our reach

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Ames. Ames is about 754 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Send a request with what you need in Ames, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
