Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

Buying smart in Ontario

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.

Honest about Benchmark

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Benchmark. Measured in a straight line, Benchmark is about 1,931 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.

For buying in Benchmark, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you are planning in Benchmark, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
