Buying a car in Hackney
People searching for car dealership sometimes find us. We are a rental company, and here is how that helps. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.
Drive it like you own it
A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.
What to check before you buy
Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.
Between cars
Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
