Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Hackney, OH

Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Hackney

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Hackney, our help starts there. How it works: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. Our matching cars start at $50 a day before tax.

Where CarmaCars works

We are based in Toronto; Hackney is not somewhere we have a location. Hackney is about 500 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

Coming from the Toronto area? You can start the trip to Hackney in a car rented from us. A rental can leave Ontario only with our written consent, agreed before you go. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Hackney if you like. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

Worth knowing

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. Your offer lists every charge, so the price you approve is the price you pay.

Typical renters

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy.

Who can rent

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

Getting the car booked

To get started, send a request for the car and dates. You are not charged for it. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.
