Buying a car in Summit

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Questions to ask

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Our area and Summit

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Summit. The distance is about 1,676 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 80 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Tell us what you need in Summit, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
