Getting a car in Summit

Searching for car rental in Summit? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. One thing to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Each car lists its rates for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month.

Our area and Summit

CarmaCars has no branch in Summit. We rent from one location in Toronto. Measured in a straight line, Summit is about 1,676 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.

If your trip to Summit starts in Toronto, a car from us can cover the Toronto part of it. Tell us in your request that you plan to drive outside Ontario; it needs our written consent. If you need a car in Summit itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.

Worth knowing

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Prices are shown car by car, and the offer lists every charge. Questions are answered by people who know the cars.

Who it is for

Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

The rules, briefly

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

What happens when you ask for a car

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
