Buying a car in Walker

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

A test drive that lasts

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Questions to ask

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.

While you shop

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

A note on distance

There is no CarmaCars office, lot or branch in Walker. At roughly 1,726 km from central Toronto in a straight line, Walker is outside our delivery area.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For anything about Walker, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
