Before you buy in Date

Shopping for a car in Date? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

A test drive that lasts

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

Checks worth doing

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Before your next car arrives

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

A note on distance

Straight answer: there is no CarmaCars location in Date. We rent from Toronto. The distance is about 1,851 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 80 km.

Shopping in Date? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Still have a question about Date? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
