Shopping for a car in Imogene

If a car to buy is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

A test drive that lasts

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Checks worth doing

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
