The 2020 Honda Civic EX: before you buy

We rent cars and sell one only now and then. There is no 2020 Honda Civic EX for sale by us right now. This page helps you judge the 2020 Honda Civic EX before you buy one anywhere.

Before you sign for the Civic

Owners filed 236 complaints with NHTSA, most often about electrical system, unknown or other and power train; have those parts checked. Have a mechanic inspect a used one before you buy it. A private seller in Ontario must give you a Used Vehicle Information Package. There are 5 NHTSA recall campaigns on file; a dealer can check by the VIN whether each was done.

    The numbers in plain words

It is powered by the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

A combined rating of 6.9 L/100 km works out to about 21 litres per 300 km. In energy, every 100 km costs about $10.70 at our price setting. The EPA estimates US$1,960 a year in fuel for 15,000 miles.

    How big it is

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. Its 736 litres of luggage space fit bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

    Who rents the Civic

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Drive it on your own roads

Rent it, live with it for a week, and decide with real experience. Rent the Civic for a week and see how it fits your life. A test week in the Civic tells you more than any review.

    Money matters

Tires, brakes and batteries are the regular costs to budget for beyond fuel. Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models. Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary.

Picking a year and a trim

Write down the VIN of any car you consider; it unlocks the recall and service history. If two trims share a powertrain, the difference is equipment, which you can check in person. Decide what matters most first: fuel use, space, or the price you can pay.

    Yameri and the Civic

If you need it in Yameri itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Yameri is about 3,364 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.
