New Cars: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Buying from a dealer is a big step; a few days in the same model, rented from us, is a sensible first one. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

Drive it like you own it

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Before you sign

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Before your next car arrives

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

What we can do for Java

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Java. We do not deliver as far as Java, about 3,168 km from central Toronto.

Shopping in Java? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Java if you like. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
