    The numbers in plain words

Power: the 2.0L 4-cylinder; drive: front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

    Who the Corolla suits

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

    Space, size and seats

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 368 litre trunk is enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

    Try before you buy

Rent it, live with it for a week, and decide with real experience. Rent the Corolla for a week, or up to 365 days, before you commit to buying one. If it is in our fleet, rent it; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

    Narrowing it down

A newer year is not always better; check what changed before paying more for it. Set a budget that includes tax, licensing, insurance and the first set of tires. Compare the XSE with the other trims of the same year before you decide.

    The cost of driving it

Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models. Tires, brakes and batteries are the regular costs to budget for beyond fuel. Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary.
