Shopping for a car in Plainview

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Rent it before you buy it

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Questions to ask

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.

A car meanwhile

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.
