Renting from Toronto

We do not have a location in Java; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. Java lies about 1,061 km from central Toronto, well beyond our 80 km delivery area.

Our cars stay around Toronto, so for Java we can only help with the Toronto part of your travel. A trip from Ontario to Java needs our written consent before you leave. If you want to check something for Java, send a request; a person replies honestly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.

What is different here

Delivery and collection at the end, or pickup from our location at no charge: you choose. Delivery is priced in your offer, and you choose the address and the time. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too. Every booking has a signed agreement in your account.

Who rents this way

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

The rules, briefly

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

Booking, step by step

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.
