Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers for Dogpatch

If you need a rental car in Dogpatch, read this first: CarmaCars works from Toronto. What this means: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. Each car lists the kilometres included each day.

Our area

Our only location is in Toronto; Dogpatch is outside the area we serve. The distance is about 4,715 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

If your trip to Dogpatch starts in Toronto, a car from us can cover the Toronto part of it. Crossing the border with a rental from us needs our written consent before the trip. Send a request about Dogpatch, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.

Good fits

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.

What makes this simple

Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. One small team handles your request from start to finish. Rent by the day, by the week, or up to 365 days at a time.

The rules, briefly

You need an Ontario G2 or G licence, valid for the whole rental, and to be 18 or older. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits differ by car. Each car's page shows its amount. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

What to expect when you book

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
