Luup Alternative for Rideshare Drivers in Unity, AR

How renting works in Unity

This page is for Unity, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. For this kind of rental: A car for Uber, Lyft or delivery work, rented from CarmaCars directly. Tell us when you book. Weekly and monthly rates first: trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and one booking runs up to 365 days and renews. Luup, Uber and Lyft are named only to describe what you compared and the work; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by any of them. Every car on the site shows its own rates, deposit and kilometres included.

A note on distance

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Unity; we work from Toronto. About 1,610 km separate our location in Toronto and Unity, far past our 250 km delivery area.

Back from Unity and landing at Toronto Pearson? We can meet you there with a car. Our cars can leave Ontario only with written consent from us, arranged before the trip. If you want to check something for Unity, send a request; a person replies honestly. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Why people choose us

You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. Rent by the day, the week or the month, with the same simple request each time. Your offer lists every charge, so the price you approve is the price you pay. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

Booking made plain

The first step is a free request: which car, which dates, and how you want to get it. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. A booking can be a single day or up to 365 days. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Driver basics

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. No maximum age, and a daily fee only for drivers under 26. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We hold the deposit shortly before pickup and release it after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
