Turo Alternative in Retsof, NY

A rental car in Retsof

CarmaCars is a Toronto rental company, and Retsof is part of the area we deliver to. How it works: Rent from CarmaCars directly: one company handles the car, the rental agreement, the deposit and support from the request to the return. Send a request with no payment, and pay only once we confirm the car and the full price. Turo is named only to describe what you compared; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by Turo. The cars below are our own listings, each with photos of that car.

Know the area

Bows Corners, Greigsville and The Forks are the neighbouring places on our list.

Flying? Dansville Municipal Airport is the nearest airport, about 32 km from Retsof. In winter, ask for winter tires: they are an add-on on the cars that offer them.

Typical renters

Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

Getting out of the city

Muskoka is about 170 km from Toronto by road, for cottage country and the lakes around Gravenhurst. Another drive: Algonquin Park, about 270 km, for lakes, trails and fall colours. Your kilometre allowance is the daily amount times the days you book, used however you like. Ask before any border crossing: it needs our written consent.

Why this works

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. We hand over every car in person and walk around it with you. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup.

How you get the car

From our location in Toronto to Retsof is about 152 km, so we deliver there. You see the full delivery cost in the offer.

Or pick it up from us; that costs nothing. The handover is quick: licence, card, walkaround, keys. For Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, the handover is at the time we confirm, with no counter.

Booking in plain terms

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Licence, age and card

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.

Your move

Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
