Turo Alternative in Ruby Corner, NY

Your rental in Ruby Corner

CarmaCars is a rental company in Toronto. For Ruby Corner, our help starts there. In short: Rent from CarmaCars directly: one company handles the car, the rental agreement, the deposit and support from the request to the return. Send a request with no payment, and pay only once we confirm the car and the full price. Turo is named only to describe what you compared; CarmaCars is not affiliated with, approved or endorsed by Turo. The cars below show live prices before tax.

A note on distance

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Ruby Corner is outside the area we serve. At roughly 303 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, Ruby Corner is outside our delivery area.

Starting out from Toronto? Book the car here and take it on the trip. A border crossing needs our written consent in advance; ask in your request. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Ruby Corner if you like. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

Common reasons to rent

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Reasons people rent from us

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You see the price before you pay, and a person confirms every booking. The deposit is never taken when you book, only shortly before pickup.

Renting: the basics

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

How renting with us works

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.
