What we can do for Ruby

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Ruby. The distance is about 5,078 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

If your trip to Ruby starts in Toronto, a car from us can cover the Toronto part of it. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent. Mention the route in your request. Send a request with what you need in Ruby, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.

Who this suits

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then.

What to expect

Drivers use our cars for app work by the week or the month, and say so in the request. CarmaCars is not affiliated with any rideshare or delivery platform; we rent the car, the platform sets its own rules. The request is free, so you can ask without committing. A request is free and commits you to nothing.

Getting the car booked

Booking starts online: pick the car, set the times, and send the request at no cost. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Before you rent

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
