The 2020 Acura RDX Tech: an overview

Here is the 2020 Acura RDX Tech: the numbers, what they mean, and who it suits. The Tech is the entry trim of the 2020 Acura RDX, the first of 3 in Canada.

The RDX and Knobs

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 692 km from Knobs, and does not deliver there. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Knobs.

If you are close to Knobs, you may also be near Johnson Crossroads, Elmhurst and Union.

Choosing a colour

Our brown cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one. Tell us if brown is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. In brown, the RDX looks like the studio image; real photos are on each car's page.

What the figures tell you

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, it needs around 29 litres for a 300 km round trip. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $171.50.

The RDX in everyday use

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Rent it from us

A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

What we ask of drivers

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

The steps

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

Ready when you are

If something here is unclear, ask in your request; we reply in plain words.
