The figures, translated

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 7.9 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 24 litres. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $41.49 at our price setting.

Size and space

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. NHTSA's Canadian figures put it at 4.76 m long. Check the size of a tight parking spot. EPA lists 368 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

The booking steps

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

A car's page shows the deposit and the kilometres included each day. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Driver requirements

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
