Meet the 2012 Lexus CT
This page sets out the 2012 Lexus CT in numbers and in plain words.
The figures, translated
The engine is the 1.8L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. A continuously variable automatic keeps the engine in its most efficient range.
The EPA rates it at 5.7 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 17 litres. City and highway ratings are 5.5 and 5.9 L/100 km. For 1,000 km, budget about $88.40 at our price setting.
How far it goes
Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies.
Who rents the CT
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.
Practical details
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is 396 litres, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
In our fleet
Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.
Rules for renters
Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.
If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
The steps
Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.
You can see every car's calendar and rates before you send anything. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
Questions first?
When the dates are set, a request gets you a real price.
