About the 2016 Lexus CT

Here is the 2016 Lexus CT: its powertrains, its fuel use and the trims sold in Canada.

Engine and fuel

It runs the 1.8L 4-cylinder hybrid, with front-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. The gearbox is a continuously variable automatic, so there are no gear changes to feel.

Combined fuel use is 5.7 L/100 km: about 17 litres for 300 km. The split is 5.5 L/100 km in town and 5.9 on the highway. That works out to about $8.84 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who rents the CT

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

How big it is

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. At 396 litres, the trunk fits about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

How far it goes

For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones.

Rent this car

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.

The booking steps

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. You pay only once you approve the offer.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Checking your details

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.
