The 2011 Lexus RX, briefly

This is the 2011 Lexus RX: how it was powered, what it uses and which trims were sold in Canada.

Engine and fuel

The powertrain here is the 3.5L 6-cylinder hybrid with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. A continuously variable automatic keeps the engine in its most efficient range.

Its combined rating is 8.0 L/100 km, which means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. The split is 7.5 L/100 km in town and 8.5 on the highway. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $124.

Best uses

Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Road trips

Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies.

Room inside

As an SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Can I rent it?

Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. Put this car and your dates in a request, and we reply with an offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. The handover is in person, at your address or at our location.

Who can rent

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

Request, offer, keys

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Leave at least 2 hours between your request and the pickup.

Your move

Send your dates and we will reply with a car and a price.
