Meet the 2003 Mazda MPV
This page sets out the 2003 Mazda MPV: powertrains, fuel use and Canadian trims.
Specs, explained
It is powered by the 3.0L 6-cylinder, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter. It shifts by itself; there is no clutch pedal to think about.
At 13.1 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 39 litres of fuel. The split is 14.7 L/100 km in town and 10.2 on the highway. A 300 km weekend costs about $60.93 in energy at our price setting.
Road trips
For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones.
When the MPV makes sense
It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.
The MPV in everyday use
Being a minivan, it carries people and their bags without fuss.

Getting the car booked
To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.
Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
Renting: the basics
The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.
Every rate includes third-party liability. The car itself needs one of three options: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
