Haystack and the Model 3

Haystack is about 3,647 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Haystack starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are near Haystack, Petaluma, Lakeville and Penngrove are close too.

The Model 3 in white

Tell us if white is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. Our white cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one. If you want it in white, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates.

Reading the spec sheet

The electric motor is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

At 15.6 kWh/100 km, a 300 km day uses roughly 47 kWh. The EPA rates its range at 568 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. Driving 300 km costs roughly $7.02 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

How big it is

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. For luggage, 425 litres means a family's bags for a long weekend.

In our fleet

Meanwhile, 7 similar cars are listed below. Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Requirements

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit applies to every rental. It is shown on the car's page and taken about 1 hour before pickup. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

The booking steps

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. The car is yours for those dates once you approve and pay the offer.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

Let us know

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
