The Model 3 in brown

The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer. A brown car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. Want brown? Put it in the request.

What the figures tell you

It is powered by the electric motor, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Its rating is 18.6 kWh/100 km: about 56 kWh for 300 km. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $8.37 at our price setting.

Inside and out

It is a straightforward car to drive, park and live with. The trunk holds 425 litres by the EPA's count: a family's bags for a long weekend.

Good uses for the Model 3

Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Your request, our offer, your keys

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. A rental of 7 days or longer is priced at the weekly rate. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Rules for renters

Every driver needs an Ontario G2 or G licence and must be 18 or older. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

When you know your dates

Ready? Request the car. If you change your mind before approving the offer, nothing is charged.
