The 2016 Toyota Corolla S at a glance

Here is the 2016 Toyota Corolla S in plain words: what it is, what it uses, and who it suits. The S is number 2 of the 4 trims sold in Canada for 2016.

Yameri and the Corolla

Yameri is about 3,364 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Yameri.

Neighbouring areas include San Francisco el Ocatal, San Francisco el Ocotal and Río Tiltepec.

About the colour

If red matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. Our red cars, when we have them, appear first in the list. The studio image shows the Corolla in red; photos of each real car are on its page.

Under the hood

The powertrain here is the 1.8L 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 7.5 L/100 km: about 23 litres for 300 km. Every 100 km costs about $11.63 in fuel at our price setting.

Who the Corolla suits

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

Space and size

Being a mid-size car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The trunk holds 368 litres by the EPA's count: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Getting the car booked

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Before pickup

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Each day of the rental carries a young driver fee if a driver is under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Each extra driver is checked the same way and signs the rental agreement.
