A note on Java

The figures, translated

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo does the work, through a 7-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Combined fuel use is 7.9 L/100 km: about 24 litres for 300 km. Every 100 km costs about $13.83 in fuel at our price setting.

Who it is for

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Practical details

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. With a length of 4.76 m, it counts as on the long side. Check the size of a tight parking spot. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Getting one from us

This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

The booking steps

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. Our offer spells out the rate, the delivery fee if any, and the deposit. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Before pickup

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.
