Your Forester and the shop

If you have the service history of your Forester, have it ready for the shop. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. The shop may ask for the VIN to order the right parts. The 2.5L 4-cylinder does the work, through an automatic (CVT).

The steps

Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Car care, briefly

Check that all lights work every few weeks. Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter.

Getting a clear quote

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
