About the 2020 Subaru Forester Base

A note on Java

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Selby, Lowry and Sitka are the closest places to Java on our list.

About the colour

If red matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. The studio image shows the Forester in red; photos of each real car are on its page. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for red in your request.

Specs, explained

The engine is the 2.5L 4-cylinder, with all-wheel drive and an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

The combined figure, 8.2 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. In money, 1,000 km costs about $127.10 at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space, size and seats

Being a compact SUV, it handles luggage, strollers and sports gear well.

Our Forester cars

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

What to expect when you book

You ask for the car online with your dates, and you pay nothing to send it. Our reply is an offer that lists the rate, the kilometres included and any delivery fee. You pay when you approve, and only then.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. For longer stays, each booking of up to 365 days renews with a new agreement. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

What you need to rent

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.
