Car hire and the 2021 Audi A4 Komfort

Car hire: the 2021 Audi A4 Komfort. Here is the car in plain words, and how renting one from CarmaCars works. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

Farmbrook and the A4

Close by are Hannover, Crestwood Village and Mountain Village, each with its own page.

Engine and fuel

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

The combined figure, 8.3 L/100 km, means roughly 25 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

What to expect from the A4

Being a compact car, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. In plain terms, its 340 litres of luggage space hold about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Driver basics

Ontario G2 or G licences are accepted, for drivers 18 and older. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

What to expect when you book

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. Approve the offer to book the car. That is the moment you pay, not before.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Get an offer

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
