What the specs mean

The engine is the electric motor, with all-wheel drive and a 1-speed automatic. It is fully electric: no gas at all, and you return it with the charge it had at pickup. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

It uses 17.4 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 52 kWh of charge. The EPA rates its range at 507 km. Winter cold and fast highway driving cut that down. Driving 300 km costs roughly $7.83 at our price setting.

Practical details

Its SUV body gives a high seating position and an easy load height.

How renting with us works

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Requirements

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.
