The A4 and Ruby City

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Ruby City starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. Ruby City is about 988 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Expect about 25 litres for every 300 km, going by its 8.3 L/100 km combined rating. That works out to about $12.87 per 100 km at our price setting.

A good match for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits commuters, couples and business trips.

What the A4 is like

As a compact car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. The EPA measures its luggage space at 340 litres, roughly about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Before pickup

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. Your licence and the card you paid with come with you to the pickup.

If your own policy has OPCF 27 or your card covers rental cars, use that; otherwise add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit amount depends on the car and is shown on its page. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

How renting with us works

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Short notice is fine: 2 hours is the minimum before a pickup.

When you know your dates

Choose a car above and send a request. A person replies with an offer, and you pay only if you approve it.
