The 1500 and Java

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Specs, explained

Its powertrain is the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo with rear-wheel drive. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

Expect about 27 litres for every 300 km, going by its 9.0 L/100 km combined rating. A 300 km weekend costs about $41.85 in energy at our price setting.

How big it is

It is built for loads that would never fit in a trunk.

A good match for

It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

Renting it

Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Delivery to your door is available across the Toronto area.

What to bring

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. Bring the card in your name that paid for the booking.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.

From request to keys

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. We need at least 2 hours of notice before a pickup.

One more step

Send your dates and we will reply with a car and a price.
