Arranging the work for the Corolla

CarmaCars does not do mechanical work. For an emissions test on the 2021 Toyota Corolla XLE, we connect you with a trusted shop. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

Before the shop sees your Corolla

Tell the shop the year, the trim and the engine: the 1.8L 4-cylinder. Your owner's manual lists the maintenance schedule for the Corolla. The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Its 1.8L 4-cylinder drives through an automatic (CVT).

Who does what

Send the car's details and what it needs; we take it from there. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. You agree the price with the shop before any work starts.

A short checklist

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.

Small things that help

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Look at the tire tread before long trips.
