CarmaCars does not do mechanical work, but for engine work on the Jeep we arrange a trusted shop. An engine that runs rough, smokes or overheats needs a look soon.
Your car, your notes
The shop sets its own price and time after it sees the car. Say whether the car is drivable; it changes how it gets to the shop. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed.
What CarmaCars does here
We tell you plainly if we do not know a shop for the job. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date. You agree everything with the shop before work begins.
A rental while you wait
We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Pick a car that suits your week from our fleet. We deliver across the Toronto area, or you collect the car from our location for free.
Between shop visits
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Check that all lights work every few weeks. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
Questions to ask the shop
Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected.
