Engine repair for the 2020 Subaru Forester Base

Your 2020 Subaru Forester Base needs engine work? We do not do mechanical work, but we arrange it and rent you a car meanwhile. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Your Forester and the shop

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. Tell the shop about any warning light or sound you have noticed. The 2.5L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with all-wheel drive.

The steps

The shop quotes the job; you approve it before any work. Tell us when suits you, and whether the car can be driven. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

A car while yours is in the shop

We can have a rental ready the day your car goes in. The rental is priced like any other on our site. We bring the car to your address in the Toronto area, or you collect it for free.

Between shop visits

Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Questions first?

Send a request: the car, the problem and when suits you.
